The SPG Dashboard is a pretty useful site you can use to access the offers available to you through SPG. It shows your progress towards earning status, how many points you’ve earned through promotions, etc. On top of that, it shows you both global and targeted promotions available to you.
tarwood has just introduced a new targeted promotion, though it seems to be pretty widely targeted. Several of the SPG accounts I have access to seem to show this on their dashboard, and this is also a repeat of a promotion they offered last year.
If you’re targeted, Starwood is offering 500 bonus Starpoints when you make and complete a Cash & Points booking by August 14, 2017.
Bonus points should be posted to your SPG account within two to four weeks of the eligible stay. If you’re targeted, you don’t have to register for the promotion.
Cash & Points is one of the best uses of Starpoints, so this makes such a redemption even better. Rs 1.5 each, so to me 500 Starpoints are worth Rs 750. That’s not anything massive, but it’s a nice bonus if you’d make a stay anyway, and in some cases could even sway the value proposition of a specific stay.
Remember if you make any booking via cash and points, you don’t earn any points in normal scenario. This is the offer that makes earning an option.
