What is Partner Award Booking?

Well, if you want to book a ticket to a place where Jet Airways doesn’t fly or doesn’t have a direct flight for. It has some codeshare partners which can get you there. Some airlines allow you to earn miles on them.  It also helps you to book a seamless ticket to your destination. Of course, Jet Airways charges you a premium to book your ticket within the same PNR with their partner airlines. To understand different types of partnerships – you can read here.

Jet Airways chopped too many partners. It is like a Dexter level bloodbath there.

Some airlines allow Jet Airways to book their award seats in exchange for doing the same for their customer on flights to India.  Award seats are booked using the Miles you have accumulated over a duration with airlines through various schemes.  There is an entire page on how you can earn different ways to their JPMiles (currency of Jet Airways).

Jet Airways pays for your ticket from their dime. Earlier, they had all sorts of partners that you could do that with. However, it is slowly decreasing every day.

The only good part about Jet Airways redemption is that there is a fix Mileage chart.

How to book PARTNER Award Ticket?

To clarify – there is NO ONLINE PROCESS

Sorry, it’s not like British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa or any of those airlines where you just type in the routes and it lets you know about the availability of award seats. When you can’t check even the route availability – of course you can’t learn about taxes and surcharges you need to pay.

No Phone Booking either

Jet Airways does have customer service number that you can call. There is even a section called JetPrivilege – however, they can’t handle partner bookings.

No Social Media Team Either

You can’t Facebook, Instagram or Tweet to Jet Airways about redemption either. There is only one path to the salvation named EMAIL. Yes, age-old dying breed email.

EMAIL

You have to send an email to Jet Airways team at jpredemptions@jetprivilege.com. There is no fixed time where they will get back to you. It might be a day, a week or a month. You would never know where your request is in the queue. Rarely ever, you might never get a reply back. However, it looks like a possibility lately.

You have to email them from your registered email address that is used for the account. In the subject, you have to mention your JetPriviledge number and your tier with the airline – Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum.

I will do a separate post of how it actually works.
