Last year Hilton changed it’s loyalty program. Since then changes have been trickling down. We still have no word from Diamond members about how they feel about the program. I have been holding Hilton Gold for a while but rarely ever used that.
Changes coming to Hilton
- Honors is adjusting how many points members earn at different tiers; for example, Diamond members will earn the same number of points as before, while non-elite members will potentially earn fewer points
- Honors is introducing Milestone Bonuses for frequent guests, where you can earn 10,000 bonus points after every 10th night, starting when you reach 40 nights in a calendar year, plus 30,000 bonus points after staying 60 nights in a year
- Honors is introducing elite rollover nights, where you can rollover nights beyond your qualification to the following year
- Honors will give members who stay 60 or more nights in a calendar year the ability to gift Gold status to someone, and those who stay 100+ nights in a year can gift Diamond status to someone
Fast Track to Gold Status
Hilton is offering various ways to get Gold Status quickly. The best way forward is holding any Visa Signature or Visa Infinite card.
You must have Hilton Honors membership, and members will need to complete their stays or nights within 90 days of registering for this offer.
You need to do is complete 2 stays or 4 consecutive nights at Hilton hotels across the globe and be upgraded to Hilton Gold.
This offer is open to all Visa Signature and Infinite credit, debit and pre-paid cardholders in the Asia Pacific region except for Taiwan. Visa Signature cardholders in Korea can participate in this promotion. This offer is currently valid until June 30, 2018. Also, Visa Infinite cardholders in Central Europe, Africa, and the Middle East can avail this offer until the end of March 2018. The Gold status will be valid for until 2019.
