SpiceJet and Vistara both have declared that they are coming out with IFE (In-Flight Entertainment). Jet Airways has had JetScreen for a while.
Vistara just launched Vistara World while SpiceJet launched SpicEngage.
That definitely helps to make Indian skies less boring for frequent travelers. They can catch up on the tv shows or movies. The good part for them is that they don’t need to install TV on seats. This saves a lot of money for them while passengers can choose their own size of the screen.
They ask you to download the app and you can stream everything on your devices. Remember, those apps can be battery hoggers. Don’t be surprised if you consumed more than 50% battery on your IFE. Soon we can hope they will enable WiFi on the flights too.
