Entry to the hotel.
I love the way one can spot Crowne Plaza buildings from far. The one, I went into, had a big entry way and lots of cars were parked at the same time. Valet came up in a hurry to collect my car.
Why are you in this hotel in this city?
As my friend has a corporate deal with IHG, he got a lucrative discount plus some standard IHG amenities. I have always loved Crowne Plaza’s experiences. I find it cookie cutter but still awesome at the same time. I was just staying with him so I don’t know any deeper details about costs.
Check in (Photos of lobby, Pictures of any decorative present)
Like all the Crowne Plazas I have been into in India, have tall roof with similar kind of lightings in lobbies. There was a big sitting area in lobby and then there was reception in middle of it. The employees were friendly and they did swift check-in after thanking us for being an IHG reward member. We were awarded with room 3014.[Not a valid template]
Journey from Reception to Room
At end of the lobby, there was an elevator and my room was on 3rd floor. I found number series little unique as it was of 4 digits instead of usual 3 digits. I am not sure how many rooms this property has but definitely it’s not over 100 rooms per floor. I might be wrong. Our room was a short walk from the elevator on the right. The door was solid-core and had an amazing design on its face.[Not a valid template]
A short passageway past the door led to the main room. Wash room was on the right and after that there was a mini bar with all the snacks. I normally never get to click pictures of mini bar because I know I would never use them and it is removed by staff.
There was a long table to put all bags on. TV in room suddenly appeared like it was really an old Plasma TV and I was surprised to see such a TV.
The bed was a usual king sized bed with super comfortable mattresses.
There was a decent sized writing table and lots of space on the left of writing table to keep stuffs. The chair was comfortable to sit on. I would use term Ergonomics to describe those.[Not a valid template]

So far all the IHG hotels I have stayed in have workable internet’s speed. This one was no exception. I could browse contents comfortably. It was an average internet speed like we find in rest of India. Definitely not the kind of electrifying speeds I experienced in Russia.
I really loved the washroom in this hotel. Really it had a cute bath tub & I had seen a similar one in Melia Dubai. I just wanted to order some chocolates and strawberries but I had to resist my temptation.
There were separate cabins for toilet & shower. The later cabin had both rain shower and hand held shower attached to wall. Pressure of water flow was brilliant. You could definitely feel like you are staying at some premium brand.
Washbasin was a large one with a big platform where you can keep your stuffs. If you have been following my reviews, you can pretty figure out the way I like to have my basin. Only hotel that had a better wash basin was Le Meridian Gurgaon with stunning aesthetics.
[Not a valid template]Washroom was definitely large.
Like all other IHG’s properties in India, even this one had bland Biotique toiletries; as you might have already read about my aversion to Biotique.[Not a valid template]
Food and Beverages
Didn’t get to try any as I had to leave early in the morning.
I found Crowne Plaza to have an experienced staff and whenever I asked for anything, it was done with a smile. I ordered for complimentary fruit platter late at night & they even sent it. It took them a while and quantity was less. But at least, they sent it at 1 am which is appreciable.
I would definitely recommend people to stay at Crowne Plaza Okhla. It is far out from the city but if you have any work in Okhla region or want access to new friends’ colony or even got some work in Ghaziabad, this is the ideal property for you to stay at.
