When Hyatt Gold Passport converted to World of Hyatt, I was quick to shun them. I completely removed Hyatt from my map and haven’t stayed with them even once after that. Until the latest promotion that is launched this time.
World of Hyatt has been pretty light on global promotions lately, at least in comparison to their competitors. Their last major promotion was from November 15 through December 31, 2017, during which time they offered double points, which translates to five bonus World of Hyatt points per dollar spent.
Hyatt has just announced their first global promotion of 2018. Hyatt’s newest global promotion is called “More Bonus Points Night After Night,” and offers up to 25,000 bonus World of Hyatt points. The promotion is valid for stays between February 15 and May 15, 2018, and offers:
- 500 bonus points per night at Hyatt Place & Hyatt House properties
- 1,000 bonus points per night at all other brands (including MGM properties)

You can earn a maximum of 25,000 bonus points during the promotion period. Bonus points should post to eligible accounts within 2-3 weeks of a stay. Previously booked stays qualify, as long as you register for the promotion by March 31, 2018 (that’s the registration deadline).
As of this year Hyatt counts award stays as qualifying nights, so that means a free night redemption or a Points + Cash redemption would qualify for this promotion, and earn you 500-1,000 points per night.
I’d actually consider this to be a pretty solid promotion, especially for stays at properties that don’t cost too much.
